Hey guys, it's Andrea. This is just a post to test out the blog feature, and see how it works so we’re gonna treat it like the first update. So far, we’ve started recording and mixing a few of the songs we’ve written over the past year. We’re getting close to releasing our first track/single for the album.

We just recently celebrated our band's one year anniversary, which was on the 9th of September. During our first year as a band we wrote a handful of songs, most of which have been played live at whatever random events we were able to play at. During that year I took up teaching guitar lessons to a few people to save up some money to be able to buy some gear to record these songs (and save money for all of the concerts I went to over the summer). We also soundproofed the room by putting up wooden panels and shit, and all those little soundproofing squares on the roof.

Over the summer we put some money together and bought (mainly) drum mics to record the kit. We got lucky and Brando’s grandpa had this 15 (more or less) year old interface that he doesn’t use, so we were able to use it. We had so many issues figuring out how to use a fucking firewire but whatever, we ended up using this old mac that still had a firewire port(??) and used garageband 2009 to track the drums.

Anyway, this isn’t a very long post, and it's definitely not a lot of detail. As we continue recording the album, we will make sure to write updates and tell a few more stories about what it was like recording those first few songs. It’ll be fun for us to be able to look back through this in the future too.
